Software replacement for general-purpose desktop calculator. Four basic arithmetic operations, percent calculations are available. It is easy to use and convenient.
Pros: The interface is a kind of fresh approach to simulating a calculator. One enters the digits for calculation on a paper like screen and then enter the operations required on the right of the numbers. CCCalc is a convenient replacement for desktop calculator. It can perform the four basic operations as well as use the percent function. You could browse through calculations history and correct anything at any moment. Enter numbers with any precision. The results will be given out in a rounded up fashion. The number of significant digits to be used can be set beforehand.
The operation is very intuitive. You just start using it in the fashion you’d expect it to behave and the application actually does. Several settings are available that control calculation settings involving precision and round off, general settings that control the calculator behavior such as sound when a key is entered etc, view and font settings take care of the look and feel of the paper like display screen area. Edit functions allow usual cut and paste edit as well as selection of expression etc. Then there is a set of controls related to memory based calculations. There’s a help manual that explains the operations quite well.
Cons: No problems noticed.
Overall: This is certainly different from many calculator programs and does the job well. This is 4 star material.
